Abuse
Seen a .UK domain used to cheat or harm people?
If a domain registered through tag KREVIUM is used for phishing, malware, spam or fraud, write to the abuse address below. Every report is read and checked.
- Receipt confirmed within 2 working days
- Reports read by Stanislav Sauliak personally
Where to send a report
This address is for abuse reports. For anything else, use the Contact page.
Examples of abuse:
- Phishing
- Malware
- Spam
- Fraud and scams
- Illegal content
- Other misuse of a domain
Is anyone at risk right now? Call the police first, then send the report here.
What helps a report
- the domain name, and the full web address (URL) involved;
- in a few sentences, what you saw and why it looks wrong;
- when you saw it: the date, the time and your time zone;
- for a suspicious email, its full headers (most mail apps call this “Show original”);
- screenshots or other evidence.
Please describe malicious files or links rather than attaching them. Reports without your name are read too, but with a contact address you can be asked follow-up questions and told the outcome.
What happens after you report
- You get confirmation that the report arrived within 2 working days.
- Stanislav Sauliak, who has the authority to investigate and act on abuse reports, checks the evidence.
- What happens next depends on what the check shows. It may mean contacting the registrant, suspending services, asking Nominet to take action, or passing details to the hosting company or the police.
A report does not automatically lead to a domain being deleted. Action is taken only where the evidence supports it.
Not a KREVIUM domain?
Only domains registered through tag KREVIUM can be acted on here. The public WHOIS record of a .UK domain names its registrar. If it shows a different one, send your report to that registrar. An argument over who should hold a name is not abuse: Nominet’s dispute service deals with those.
